About us
Founded on a shared passion for Aquatics and making it accessible for all children
In 2024 three swim schools came together on a mission to improve access, participation and progression of Swimming and Aquatics activities.
Due to many factors, this life, and life long, skill is being accessed less and less by generations of children. If this continues many of them will never see the benefits of being able to swim and a cycle of decline for future generations is inevitable.
Support our mission to improve swimming standards and open up a world of Aquatic opportunities for children in our communities.
Affordable or Free Swimming & Aquatics Sessions with Access Aquatics
Access Aquatics is supported by local businesses and kind individuals. Our aim is to provide free or subsidised swimming lessons for those who cannot afford them and are not predicted to meet national curriculum standards. Find Out More Here.
Promoting & Educating Local Communities On Water Safety and Aquatic activities
Swimming is a life skill and we know many parents still share this view. However, swimming uptake and proficiency is on a downward trend, which indicates that in these challenging times swimming is no longer viewed as a necessity.
We need to educate this generation of parents about the long term value that learning to swim and progression to Aquatic activities has, physically, mentally and socially.
Supporting Schools With Hitting National Minimum Requirements
If your school wants to work with Aquatic 2012 CIC to enrich your pupils’ experience of the pool, we can and have supported local schools in the following ways:
– Water Safety workshops
– Top Up Swimming
– Introductory sessions to Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, Diving & Other Aquatics
– Strategic partnerships to achieve National Curriculum minimum requirements for pupils.
– One off inspirational events / showcases of Swimming and Aquatics
– Introductory competitions
The Power Of Aquatic Activities
Aquatic 2012 CIC is inspired by the London 2012 “Legacy” Olympic Games
Like many who experienced the London 2012 Olympics, we were inspired. London was billed as the “Legacy” games, so what better way to honour, and continue, the legacy than naming our worthy cause after it.
We believe that Aquatic activities, Olympic or otherwise, have the power to inspire our children to start, continue and thrive on their swim journey.
As Nelson Mandela once said, sport has the power to speak to the youth in a language they understand. We believe that children are missing out on life lessons and life skills by not learning to swim and accessing activities that will have long term benefits for body and mind.
